Water Tank Cleaning
Dirty water tanks can lead to health risks, poor water quality, and expensive repairs. Our expert team ensures a deep clean, so you get a cost-effective solution that extends the life of your storage tank while keeping your water safe. We follow strict safety regulations and confined space procedures to ensure a thorough and safe cleaning process. We use ultra-filtration systems that remove harmful bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants down to 0.01 microns, ensuring safe water.
Eliminate harmful bacteria, viruses, sediments, algae, animal droppings, and heavy metals for safer consumption.
We treat tank walls with a silver-based hydrogen peroxide solution to oxidize organic growth and maintain clean water.
Our tank cleaning services eliminate foul odors and water discoloration, giving you fresh water with improved clarity.
Are you curious about how your tank goes from grimy to crystal clear? These short videos show you exactly what happens during our water tank cleaning process. Watch us in action as we safely remove built-up sludge, sediment, and grime without contaminating your tank.
You’ll see our gear, process, and the care we take to protect your water. See the results for yourself. This is the kind of clear, fresh water you’ll get after we’ve done our job right. Clean water means better health, better taste, and peace of mind.
If your home is equipped with a high-quality filtration system then a 1 or 5 micron filtered supply might be all that’s needed, if you just want the best water quality or have minimal filtration in your home then Ultrafiltration would be your best bet.
Bear in mind, the higher the quality of water that you supply your existing filtration system, the longer those filters will last.
A 5-micron filter removes larger contaminants from water, such as visible sediment, plankton, and some larger bacteria and cysts. It's effective at improving water clarity and taste by capturing particulate matter like silt, dirt, rust, and asbestos. While it provides a standard level of filtration for many household and industrial uses, it does not remove smaller, more dangerous contaminants like viruses, smaller bacteria, or most heavy metals.
A 1 micron filter removes particles and contaminants that are 1 micron (one-millionth of a meter) or larger in size, such as fine sediment, silt, rust, and some larger bacteria and parasites like Giardia and Cryptosporidium. This level of filtration provides improved water clarity, enhances taste and odor, and offers protection against certain waterborne pathogens.
An ultrafiltration (UF) filter removes suspended solids, colloids, bacteria, protozoa, and most viruses from water, while typically allowing smaller dissolved molecules like salts and minerals to pass through. UF membranes have a pore size of approximately 0.01 to 0.1 microns, which is fine enough to filter out these larger contaminants, improving water clarity and safety for applications like drinking water treatment.
Hydrogen peroxide treats water by acting as a powerful oxidizing agent, killing microorganisms, and removing contaminants like iron, manganese, and sulfur odors by converting them into solid, filterable forms. It releases harmless oxygen and water as it breaks down, leaving no chemical residues, and works faster and more effectively over a wider pH range than chlorine. It is used in both municipal and private water systems for purification, disinfecting, and odor control.
Our team is certified to work in confined spaces; if the lid is large enough to allow human access, we can enter your tank, vacuum any sludge, wash down the tank's walls and ceiling, and vacuum the wash water.
After the cleaning is complete, we can treat the walls of the tank with hydrogen peroxide to kill off any remaining organic growth. When the oxidation process is finished, the tank will revert back to water and oxygen, leaving no residual.
This is priced at $350 per tank.
If you have two water tanks side by side, if there is a tap to close the balance pipe between your tanks, then if the water quality allows, we can transfer more water from one tank to the other on arrival, clean the empty tank out, and then refill that tank with two or more tank loads through our filter system. Talk to us about your options when our crew arrives.

We take water safety seriously. Our thorough tank cleaning process guarantees fresh, purified water that meets the highest safety regulations. If you’re not satisfied, we’ll make it right—because clean water should never be a compromise.
Simply washing or water blasting the tanks' surfaces does nothing to kill the organic growth. Hydrogen peroxide is used in mold remediation projects because it kills the growth and root structure, whereas washing only removes the visible component.
You should have filters inside for your drinking water, particularly. There is no perfect individual process, but each process should complement the other.
With our system, you are heavily reducing the load on your internal filter system's ms, which will extend its useful life and effectiveness. The same applies to your pump and plumbing inside your home.
Cleaning out your gutters regularly and removing debris from your Roof will help minimize what ends up in your tank. We are well equipped to help with this and our gutter vacuuming service. Our cherry picker can be used to clear debris if it is difficult to access.
You certainly could! Just a couple of things to keep in mind:
Do you know your tank is safe to enter?
When it is being moved, the sludge at the bottom of your tank could go off-gas and create a hazardous environment, mainly if dead animal carcasses are hidden in the sludge. So, we’d recommend hiring a gas detector, which costs around $110 per day.
Our process allows you to enjoy pure, rejuvenated drinking water without the chlorine taste or odor. If your tank is empty, this can’t be avoided, so ensure your carbon filter inside is fresh.
Not at this time.
We are not a licensed water supplier but have permission from Taumata Arowai, the NZ water regulator, to operate our plant.
